(Leviticus 11:29-30) I need to move out of the house I am living in right now. This is no news to most of you, but it may be that you are not aware exactly how afflicted I feel. I live in a house that is infected with an incredible stench. My landlord somehow gets pleasure from collecting and frolicking around with small animals. He has a dog, a rabbit, three ferrets and a prairie dog. He rarely cleans their cages and doesn't like having windows open in the house, because of thieves and the chance that a slight hint of somebody's cigarette smoke may waft its way inside. I manage to have my window open as often as I'm around, so my room at least doesn't smell quite as bad as the rest of the house (Haley's Glade plug-in also helps). I could do more about cleaning the house, but it is hard to be consistently motivated to clean up after my landlord and his precious animals, so I am reduced to cleaning once weekly to maintain at least a minimal living environment. I know this is a lot of complaining, but coming home to a house like this one at the end of a day's work is mighty disheartening. I crave a clean home full of fresh Florida air. I will be moving soon, but I'm not sure where to. Michael is looking for a house to buy (or maybe to rent) and that seems to be the likeliest option. I've also considered getting an apartment on my own, but that wouldn't be the most cost-effective. I could use your prayer that I will be patient with this. |
